Swedish, deep tissue or Thai: which one is for you?
Three popular massages that feel very different. How to pick the right one.

Want to relax? Choose Swedish. Have tight, sore muscles? Choose deep tissue. Want to stretch without oil? Choose Thai. Here is a little more about each one.
The three massages
Swedish massage. Long, smooth strokes with soft to medium pressure and oil. It is the classic relaxing massage and the best choice for a first time. Swedish massage is 60 or 90 minutes.
Deep tissue massage. Slow, firm pressure on tight areas, usually the neck, shoulders and back. It can feel strong, but it should never hurt. Deep tissue is 60 or 90 minutes.
Thai massage. Done in loose clothes we give you, with no oil. The therapist presses and stretches your body, a bit like yoga. Thai massage is 60 minutes.
A quick guide
- Tired or stressed, or new to massage: Swedish.
- Knots, a stiff neck or a sore back: deep tissue.
- Feeling stiff and want to move better: Thai.
- Want calming oils: aromatherapy massage.
Still not sure?
That is fine. Your therapist will ask how you feel and how firm you like the pressure, then suggest one. You don't have to decide before you come.
